Samsung is pushing a new update for its recently launched Galaxy Watch 3. Only a day after its release, the update is being pushed via OTA and brings some cool new features for the wearable.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 went official in the recently concluded Unpacked event. Well, there were tons of new things that were a feast for the eyes of tech enthusiasts.
For instance, the launch of Galaxy Note 20 series, a sneak peek of Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Buds Live, and much more. However, another device that caught the attention of the fans is the greatest lineup of wearable from Samsung, the Galaxy Watch 3.
The new Galaxy Watch 3 update adds blood oxygen monitoring, VO2max, sleep ratings, and more
Well, as Sammobile notes this new update really packs some good stuff inside. It weighs in around 80 MB in size and arrives with version number R840XXU1BTG6/R840OXA1BTG6.
As far as the features are concerned, it brings blood oxygen monitoring. This basically helps you to check the blood flow in your streams via your respiratory system. This provides a deep insight into one’s health. However, it isn’t accurate to be called medical data.
The definition of ‘medical data’ varies by country. So, this is the reason, it will not make its way to all the markets where it has been released. Those countries include Algeria, Angola, Canada, France, Iran, Japan, Libya, South Africa, and Thailand.
Another great feature in this update brings for Galaxy Watch 3 is advanced running analytics. This helps you to check your running form via the in-depth analytics and insights.
V20max helps you to keep in check the amount of oxygen that you intake while you exercise. This, in turn, helps you to enhance your endurance. Finally, the Sleep Score allows you to understand your sleep pattern more accurately.
The update is arriving available via the Galaxy Wearable app
As always, the update will hit the Galaxy Watch 3 units via OTA. Moreover, it will be available to download from the Galaxy Wearable app. We would remind our readers to check if it is available for your country or not.
Samsung is also honing the ECG monitoring system for the Galaxy Watch 3. And we believe that it should be available via a software update once it is cooked. Notably, the update will take some time in hitting all the regions. So, if you have not yet received the update, then you should probably wait for the OTA to arrive.
