Android 10 Update Finally Arrives On Verizon Galaxy Tab S4

Months after being available for the LTE Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, the Android 10 update is now finally making its way for the Verizon Galaxy Tab S4.

Notably, the new update also brings along all the new features that are under the package with One UI 2.1. Though the update is arriving a bit late, that is how it is.

This Android 10 One UI 2.1 update is feature-packed. Additionally, it bumps the security patch level to August 2020. It is arriving with version number T837VVRU4CTH6 for the cellular variant of the Tab S4.

Talking about all the new features, it packs live transcribe, new gesture navigation, Focus Mode, Sound Amplifier, Samsung Daily, etc. along with other Android 10 features.

Keep in mind that all the latest Samsung tablets are running One UI 2.5, while Verizon Galaxy Tab S4 is currently receiving One UI 2.1. Other inclusions are Quick Share, Music Share, and a redesigned Gallery app.

Samsung has always been known as a leader when it comes to pushing the latest updates. Especially for pushing security updates. However, the carrier variants are not always as fast as the OEM.

Sound Amplifier can be used to boost sound and reduce background noise

You can plug in your headphones to use the Sound Amplifier button. This will reduce the background noise and boost the sound while on a call, listening to music, etc.

Live Transcribe will show you the real-time text of sound coming out from the microphone and displays as text. Note that Google though processes your conversations but never stores them.

Full-screen gestures are now more improved and faster. Well, one good thing is that Bixby is now replaced by Samsung Daily. You can give a glance to all your favorite things in here without the need to open individual apps.

Just a single tap will show you the current news, weather, appointments, and more. Focus Mode is just Digital Wellbeing that is meant to minimize the distractions and lets you focus on your work.

All in all, this is a featureful update, which the users should be receiving via OTA. However, note that the updates will take some time in hitting all the units.

If you haven’t received the Android 10 update notification on your Verizon Galaxy Tab S4 then you can head over to Settings > About Phone > Software updates > Check for Updates.

Tap on the latest update notification to start the downloading process. Note that we recommend you use a stable internet connection to download this file as it is big in size.
