Lower OnePlus 8T Price Tags Tipped; Too Good To Be True?

According to a new report, the OnePlus 8T will cost less than reported earlier today. Early OnePlus 8T Amazon listing suggests that the phone will arrive with lower price tags, which seems to good to be true.

Lower price tag tipped for the OnePlus 8T may be too good to be true

This information actually got shared by Ishan Agarwal in collaboration with 91mobiles. The tipster claims that the phone’s pricing will start at €599, based on the aforementioned listing.

This price tag is for the 8GB RAM variant which comes with 128GB of storage. The 12GB RAM model, with 256GB of storage, is said to cost €699. Mr. Agarwal does note that these prices could be off, though.

That very same listing claims that the phone will become available on October 20. As most of you know by now, the device will become official on October 14.

What’s weird here, is that the OnePlus 8 currently starts at €649 in Europe. So, if this information is accurate, the OnePlus 8T will be cheaper than the OnePlus 8, and that doesn’t make any sense.

So, take this with a grain of salt, of course. Even though it did surface on Amazon, this could be a mistake by Amazon, that’s for sure. If the phone really does arrive with this price tag, that would be a huge surprise.

At the same time, it will either mean that the OnePlus 8 won’t be available for purchase any longer, or that the company will drop its price tag way down.

Earlier report suggested much higher price tags for the device

We have to mention that, earlier today, a tipster called ‘Chun’ leaked the phone’s price tags as well. His information is vastly different, though. He claims that the 8GB RAM model will cost €799.

That very same source tipped the 12GB RAM model to cost €899. As you can see, these price tags are considerably different to the ones tipped by the aforementioned Amazon listing. The difference is €200.

One of these sources is seriously wrong about the phone’s price tag, and it remains to be seen which one. While we wait to find out, it’s worth saying that the very same Amazon listing shared some specs of the device as well.

That listing says that the phone will feature a 6.5-inch fullHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. That will be an AMOLED display. The Snapdragon 865 will fuel the device, while the phone will arrive in two variants we’ve mentioned at the beginning.

A 4,500mAh battery has also been mentioned, along with 65W fast wired charging. Wireless charging was not mentioned here. A 48-megapixel main camera (with OIS), will be backed by 16, 5, and 2-megapixel units.

A 16-megapixel front-facing camera is also listed, by the way. Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver color options are mentioned. If you’d like to know more about the device, check out our OnePlus 8 preview.
