Samsung had introduced its new foldable flagship yesterday, the Galaxy Z Fold 2. Following its announcement, Samsung released the Galaxy Z Fold 2 infographic, which contains plenty of information about the phone.
This infographic is not focused only on the device’s specs, even though specs are a part of it. You’ll get to know the phone’s design better, including its hinge, actually.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 infographic shares some hinge information
The infographic is placed below the article, and it shows off the company’s ‘Hideaway Hinge’. This hinge utilizes the ‘CAM mechanism’ and ‘Sweeper structure’.
Thanks to this hinge, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 can stand on its own from 75 to 115 degrees. A broader range of angles may be accessible for users, depending on the environment and use case, says Samsung.
The infographic also lets you take a good look at the phone’s design. Its ‘Cover’ display, the one on the outside, is not much larger than the one on the original Fold. That’s because the bezels are a lot thinner.
The phone is quite narrow when folded, and quite tall at the same time. It is 13.8mm thick on its thinnest part when folded, and 16.8mm on its thickest part. That’s not too bad considering this is a foldable phone.
You’ll also notice a side-facing fingerprint scanner on this phone, and a single display hole on each of its displays. A triple camera setup is included on the back, and the camera module does protrude a bit.
5G is supported, while the Snapdragon 865 Plus fuels the device
5G support is included, while the Snapdragon 865 Plus fuels the device. This chip will actually fuel the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in all markets, so users in Europe won’t have to deal with the Exynos 990.
Android 10 is here out of the box, along with Samsung’s One UI 2.5 skin. The device includes three 12-megapixel cameras on the back, and they do look quite good on paper. The main sensor actually comes with OIS, Super Speed Dual Pixel AF, f/1.8 aperture, 1.8um pixel size, and so on. You can get more information about that by checking our specs article.
12GB of internal storage is included inside of this phone, along with 256GB or 512GB of storage. A large 4,500mAh battery is also a part of the package, along with 25W fast wired charging. Wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare are also included.
