The Samsung Galaxy S21 is starting to take shape. With a January launch all but certain, the device has started to make rounds on the internet more often. Over the past few weeks, multiple leaks have revealed the design and spec details of the two Galaxy S21 models – the standard Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. We now have some information about their color variants as well.
According to a new leak, the Galaxy S21 series, which is codenamed Galileo, will be arriving in as many as five different hues. We’ll be seeing the upcoming Samsung flagship in gray, pink, violet, silver, and white colors, at least. It’s unclear if both the models will be arriving in these many colors and whether they’ll be available globally. Samsung does tend to make certain color variants limited to select markets, sometimes for a brief period only.
To recall, the Galaxy S20 series is available in Cloud Gray, Could Blue, and Cloud Pink colors while the Note 20 series comes in Mystic Bronze, Mystic Gray, and Mystic Green color variants. So that’s another strategic shift from Samsung for the Galaxy S21 series. Perhaps it’s something the company is picking up from the Galaxy S20 FE. The affordable Samsung flagship arrived earlier this month in no less than six colors – Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy, Cloud White, Cloud Red, and Cloud Orange.
Galaxy S21 color variants leak
This is the latest in a plethora of Galaxy S21 leaks over the past few days. Renders of both Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Ultra leaked earlier today, revealing the two phones in all their glory. The upcoming flagships see subtle design changes from their predecessors. The most notable of them all is a less-protruding rear camera module.
The vanilla S21 gets a flat screen while the Ultra model keeps those curved edges. There should be a third “Plus” (Galaxy S21+) model as well sitting in between the two, but there hasn’t been much talk about it. It remains to be seen if Samsung is shifting to a two-model strategy for the Galaxy S series as well, like the Galaxy Note series.
The Korean company is yet to officially communicate a word about the Galaxy S21 launch. However, multiple reports have suggested that the phones would launch early in January next year. Retail units will reportedly arrive in stores later in the month, or in early February. The company previously launched the Galaxy S series phones in February, with sales commencing in March.
