The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is back, well, kind of. The company has decided to resurrect this smartphone, though it hasn’t announced that during its global launch event. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is back as the Mate 30E Pro.
The Huawei Mate 30E Pro has been announced in the company’s homeland, and it’s the fifth smartphone Huawei announced yesterday. It accompanies the Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Porsche Design Mate 40 RS.

That being said, the Mate 30E Pro is the same as the Mate 30 Pro in every way, except it comes with the Kirin 990E processor. This is basically an improved version of the Kirin 990 that was Huawei’s flagship SoC until Kirin 9000 arrived.
The Kirin 990E still has two Cortex-A76 performance cores running at 2.86GHz, but the other six cores have been improved. The additional pair of Cortex-A76 cores now go up to 2.36GHz (from 2.09GHz), while the Cortex-A55 cores are running at 1.95GHz (up from 1.86GHz). The GPU remains the same, the Mali-G76, but with two fewer cores (14 vs 16). This processor is made using a 7nm+ process.

It looks exactly the same as the Mate 30 Pro, while the rest of its specs are the same as well. It features a 6.53-inch fullHD+ OELD display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Android 10 comes pre-installed on this smartphone, along with Huawei’s EMUI 11 skin. Needless to say, this smartphone doesn’t come with Google services pre-installed. It will become available in China on November 1.
The device comes in Space Silver, Cosmic Purple, and Emerald Green variants. It will also be available in Vegan Leather editions, as both Orange and Green colors will be available. In terms of its availability outside of China, we still don’t have any information. It’s possible it will launch in Europe, but we’re not sure.
