While the users are waiting for the Android 11 update, OnePlus has released a new bugfix update for the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, and the OnePlus 7T smartphones.
Notably, the update comes with fixes for the flashback issues with some third-party apps and also optimizes the power consumption of the system one OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro.
Moreover, the update for the OnePlus 7T brings fixes for the flashback issue, along with a fix for the issue that the alarm clock does not ring in certain scenarios. On top of this, there is a fix for the issue with Messages in some cases.
Notably, the update does not bring the latest October 2020 security patchset. And instead remains at the September 2020 security patch level.
The update for the OnePlus 7 arrives with version number OxygenOS 10.3.6 for Indian and global users. And it arrives with OxygenOS 10.0.9 version for the European users.
OnePlus 7T users are getting the update with version 10.0.14.HD65BA for EU users, and 10.0.14.HD65AA for global users. Indian users of OnePlus 7T are picking up the update with version 10.3.6.HD65AA.
OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T & 7T Pro are scheduled to get Android 11 in December
Android 11 is a very hot topic currently. Google announced it back in September, and many OEMs have already pushed stable updates for their eligible devices.
OnePlus has a great track record when it comes to rolling out updates. The OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 has already arrived for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro smartphones.
Samsung is also beta testing the Android 11 update for its Galaxy S20 and Note 20 devices. And both the lineup is expected to grab the latest update in its stable form, pretty soon.
As far as the Android 11 update for the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and 7T Pro are concerned, the update will arrive in December. So, there is time left before the Android 11 OxygenOS 11 update arrives on the 2019 phones.
Good thing is that the features that are arriving with OxygenOS 11 are in plenty that would make your wait worth it. To give you some context, the OxygenOS 11 completely ditches the stock Android experience that the OnePlus user is accustomed to.
It takes a bit of Samsung’s One UI 3.0 approach, which is inclined more towards providing convenient one-hand usage. So, the user interface has been completely revamped along with the font.
Now, you will see a new OnePlus Sans font that increases the system readability. For those who were waiting for this, yes, the Always On Display is now available with the OxygenOS 11.
Other features of Android 11 based OxygenOS 11 include improved battery life, improved dark mode, new interface, improved Zen Mode, more themes, and customization options.
