Samsung is finally rolling out the public beta of One UI 3.0 based on Android 11. The announcement comes less than a month after launching the developer beta program. As was the case with the developer beta, the One UI 3.0 public beta is also limited to the Galaxy S20 series, sans the new Galaxy S20 FE.
The first One UI 3.0 public beta comes with the version ZTJ3. It is currently available for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra users in South Korea. While the developer beta has been made available in the US, there is no mention of a public beta for US users yet.

It will probably take a few more weeks for the company to roll out the public beta update in other markets. While there is no confirmation, the public beta could also be made available for the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and Galaxy S20 FE.
As of now, interested users can sideload the firmware to try out the latest Android 11 based One UI 3.0. However, there could be many unnecessary features that are related to the Korean market in the OS. Apart from the new features, the beta firmware also includes several known issues.
Hence, no one should try out the beta updates on their primary smartphones. All eligible users can sign up for the beta update by heading over to the “Sign Up for One UI Beta Program” section in the Samsung Members app. With the One UI 3.0, Samsung is making several enhancements that are separate from the new features of Android 11.
It is limited to the Galaxy S20 series in South Korea
There will be a major improvement in the widgets for the lock screen and always-on display. The company is also adding more categories to the Dynamic lock screen feature. The photo editor will allow the user to revert back to the original photos from the edited versions.
The essential accessibility options will now show up when setting up the device for the first time. There will be suggestions for accessibility features based on usage patterns. While themes will be available in the final version, there is no support for them in the current beta.
However, there is no guarantee that all these features will be made available in a publicly released version. The Galaxy S20 users in other markets will have to wait a few more weeks to experience the latest One UI 3.0. Meanwhile, the company has already started rolling out the October 2020 security patch update for the Galaxy S20 series.
