OnePlus Unveils Nord N10 5G & N100, Both Are Coming To The US

OnePlus has just expanded further into the budget segment of the smartphone market with two new ‘Nord’ smartphones, the Nord N10 5G and N100. Both of those phones will be making their way to the US, unlike the original Nord.

OnePlus teased the arrival of these two phones recently, and they’re now official. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G brings 5G for less than $400, while the N100 is priced at under $200.

Both of these phones come with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. Both of them have fairly thin bezels, especially considering those price tags, and both feature a display camera hole. That camera hole is placed in the top-left portion of the display.

Build materials have not been mentioned by OnePlus, by the way. Both devices include flat displays, and no alert slider, which is interesting. It’s also worth noting that the bottom bezel is thicker on the Nord N100.

Android 10 comes pre-installed on these two phones, along with OxygenOS 10.5. OnePlus opted not to include Android 11 here, for whatever reason, while the OnePlus 8T ships with Android 11 out of the box. Having said that, their spec sheets are different, so let’s talk about those for a bit. Let’ start with the OnePlus Nord N10 5G.

OnePlus Nord N10 5G specifications

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G features a 6.49-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) display. That is an IPS LCD display, and it offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by the Gorilla Glass 3.

The Snapdragon 690 fuels this smartphone, and it includes 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM. 128GB of internal storage is included inside, and you can expand that up to 512GB.

This phone actually has four cameras on the back. A 64-megapixel main camera (f/1.8 aperture) is aided by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide (f/2.25 aperture, 119-degree FoV), 2-megapixel macro (f/2.4 aperture), and 2-megapixel portrait (f/2.4 aperture) cameras. A single 16-megapixel unit is included on the front.

A 4,300mAh battery is also included inside, while the phone supports Warp Charge 30T (30W fast wired charging). Stereo speakers are included in the package as well.

OnePlus Nord N100 specifications

The OnePlus Nord N100 sports a 6.52-inch HD+ (1600 x 720) display. This is also an IPS LCD display, and also a 90Hz panel which comes with the same protection as the one on the Nord N10 5G.

The Snapdragon 460 fuels this smartphone, while the phone offers 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The device also includes 64GB of expandable storage (up to 512GB).

A 13-megapixel main camera (f/2.2 aperture), is backed by a 2-megapixel macro (f/2.4 aperture) unit, and a 2-megapixel portrait (f/2.4) camera. A 16-megapixel camera sits on the front.

A 5,000mAh battery is included inside of this phone, and the device supports Warp Charge 30T as well. It also has stereo speakers, which is not something you see often at this price tag.

Pricing & availability

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G comes in Midnight Ice color variant, while the Nord N100 is offered in Midnight Frost color. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G is priced at £329 ($430) in the UK, 349€ in the rest of Europe. The Nord N100, on the other hand, costs £179 ($233) in the UK, 199€ in the rest of Europe. Both devices will make their debut in the US “in the coming weeks”.

UPDATE: It seems like they ship with Android 10 after all, not Android 11. That correction is now reflected in the article.
