The OnePlus Watch was rumored to launch alongside the OnePlus 8T yesterday, but that didn’t happen. Well, don’t be too disappointed, as OnePlus just teased the arrival of its very first smartwatch.
The company did it via the OnePlus India Twitter handle. The company shared a sketch of a smartwatch from 2015, and shared it on Twitter, along with a caption. That caption reads: “More things are coming to the OnePlus ecosystem. It’s just a matter of time”.

This almost could not be a more obvious confirmation that the company’s first smartwatch is on the way. This makes us wonder, though, when will the company announce it? Will it arrive alongside the OnePlus 9, or sooner than that, perhaps?

We can only guess at this point, but it is possible that it will launch alongside the OnePlus 9. If that ends up being the case, though, we’re in for a long wait.
Max J., a well-known tipster, also shared some information on the matter. He went to Twitter to confirm that OnePlus never planned to announce its smartwatch alongside the OnePlus 8T.
Max J. was the person who teased the arrival of the OnePlus Watch, but he said he never mentioned when will that happen. He did, however, that more information is coming… though he wasn’t all that specific.
At this point in time, we do know that the OnePlus Watch will feature a round body with a circular display. Max J. more or less confirmed that with his teaser, and he seems to know what’s coming.
The company’s very first smartwatch will almost certainly ship with Wear OS. OnePlus will likely tweak it, though, similar to what OPPO did with the OPPO Watch. It will be interesting to see OnePlus’ take on Wear OS, that’s for sure, as the company is doing an excellent job with OxygenOS. That being said, stay tuned, more information will probably follow in the near future.
