Samsung will make its Galaxy S21 series of devices available in February after all, according to our source. This is quite surprising, considering that several well-known tech sites reported that the company is gearing up for an early release.
The Galaxy S21 series to become available in February, not January
The Galaxy S21 series was tipped to get announced and become available in January. Well, our source is claiming that the series will become available in February after all, at least in the US. It is a trustworthy source, otherwise we wouldn’t have shared the news at all.
We still do not know the exact date of the launch, though. This goes against every other rumor out there, but the source did seem sure of the information, so… there you go.
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is set to take place in January, so this kind of makes sense. On top of that, Qualcomm still didn’t announce its new flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 875. There is no indication that it will become available early, not even for Samsung.
Samsung is expected to announce three devices as part of the Galaxy S21 series. The Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra are coming. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is the only one that will sport the S Pen, based on rumors.
Designs of all three phones leaked already
All three of those devices have leaked already, in CAD-based renders. Samsung will alter their design a bit, compared to the Galaxy S20 series, but we won’t get a major revamp or anything of the sort.
The rear camera module will be an extension of the frame this time around, while the bezels will be trimmed even further, at least on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. That handset is expected to offer the thinnest bottom bezel in the market.
Samsung is expected, once again, to utilize both Exynos and Snapdragon SoCs for its S series flagships. The Snapdragon 875 will be used in the US and China, while the Exynos 2100 will be put to use in Europe and India.
