If you are more inclined towards the safety and security of your messages, then Telegram is the way to go. And the instant messaging app is now receiving a new update that brings some cool new features.
The users of Telegram are now receiving a raft of new features. However, these updates are live only for Android users. Notably, the update brings features like multiple pinned messages, live location alert, and much more to the app.
Talking about the new features first up is the pinned messages 2.0. This new nifty feature allows Telegram users to pin a number of threads. This could come in handy when you are multitasking.
Moreover, if you wish to keep your conversation separate or you are chatting with the same person about different things at the same time. You simply have to press the top bar several times to jump between pinned messages.
Additionally, you can also press the new button at the top bar, to show all the pinned messages on a separate page. Note that this is the first time for any messaging app to bring pinning to one-to-one conversations, as well as group chats.
Another nifty feature from the lot is the live location alert feature. When someone shares their live location with you, you can use this feature to set an alert to remind you when your friend arrives nearby. The map will further show you the directions you are going in so, you can guide your friend to meet you more easily.
Multiple songs sent on Telegram will now be arranged together in a Playlist
There is no shortage of new features with the new update for Telegram. In the new update, when users send multiple songs at once, all the songs will be now arranged together in a playlist.
This would make it much easier to play, forward, or comment on. When you tap on one song, all the songs will be queued in the built-in Telegram media player. Moreover, sending multiple files will now be shown in a single and separate chat bubble.
Lastly, there is a new analytics tool for Telegram users. It will show you all the stats about your shared posts. Similarly, it will show the entire data for the whole channel, or for the individual posts.
These stats will let you know key metrics like how many times your messages have been forwarded into public channels and more. There are some new animations and emojis also that have been added with the new Telegram update.
Plus, you can now annotate a photograph, sent over to you by someone while you are chatting in line. This negates the need for downloading or re-uploading the image.
This new Telegram update is ready live for the users starting from October 30. If you have not yet updated the app, then you can head over to the Google Play Store to grab the latest update.
