OnePlus has decided to announce three OnePlus 9 smartphones, it seems. This information is still not official, but it comes from a really reliable source. Max Jambor, a well-known tipster, shared the info via his Twitter account.
He listed the names of all three devices in an image he created for that tweet. The OnePlus 9, 9E, and 9 Pro are coming. The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are expected, but what about the OnePlus 9E?
Three OnePlus 9 handsets are coming, and the 9E is a real mystery
That phone is a complete mystery at this point. We can only make wild guesses as to what that phone will offer. It could be a smaller alternative to the other two phones, or it could be a more budget-oriented alternative.
On the other hand, OnePlus has the ‘Nord’ brand for that, so… it remains to be seen. We don’t yet know what the ‘E’ stands for, if we knew that, things would be a little bit clearer. We do hope that there’s a meaning behind that letter.
In any case, the OnePlus 9 series is expected to arrive in March next year. That is the rumored launch month, at least. If it turns out to be true, that means that OnePlus decided to launch its new flagships earlier than expected.
Both the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro leaked already. It seems like they will resemble their predecessors quite a bit, at least in terms of the design. The regular OnePlus 9 model will include a flat display, though.
Both of those phones are expected to feature a 120Hz display, extremely fast charging, the Snapdragon 875, and more. The OnePlus 9E is a true mystery, though. Let’s hope that Max Jambor, or some other reliable source, will share more information on that handset in the near future. For the time being, all we can do is wait.
