The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra variant with 12GB of RAM and Exynos 2100 SoC has been confirmed by Geekbench. The phone got listed on the benchmarking app with Android 11.
It is worth noting that this is a pre-release listing, so checking out the benchmark scores doesn’t really make sense. Those scores will be vastly different once a finished unit is tested. This listing does give us some insight into the phone’s specs, though, as already mentioned.
Geekbench listing basically confirms 12GB RAM Galaxy S21 Ultra variant
12GB of RAM, Exynos 2100, and Android 11 are clearly highlighted here. The model number that the phone got listed under is SM-G998B, in case you were wondering.
Needless to say, this is not the variant that will make its way to the US or China. This is an Exynos model which will be available in Europe and India. We’re presuming that a 16GB RAM model will also ship out.
That is not something we can confirm, however, the European Galaxy S21 Ultra may cap out at 12GB. That’s not something that should worry you, however. 16GB of RAM in a phone is overkill either way.
The Galaxy S21 series will become official in mid-January
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will become official in mid-January. January 14 is a rumored launch date, and it will be announced alongside its siblings, the Galaxy S21 and S21+.
Samsung has decided to move up its launch cycle in 2021. The Galaxy S series handsets usually become official towards the end of February. That won’t be the case in 2021.
All three devices will share a similar design, with a new rear camera housing design, and a centered display camera hole. They’ll also have extremely thin bezels, which will, allegedly, be uniform. If you’d like to know more about the Galaxy S21 series, check out our preview.
