Here's Your First 360-Degree Look At The Galaxy Buds Pro

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Buds Pro truly wireless (TWS) earbuds alongside the Galaxy S21 series next month. Multiple leaks over the past few weeks have already revealed the buds’ design, color variants, and some specs. We now also have our first 360-degree look at it, revealing the complete design of the Galaxy Buds Pro as well as the storing-cum-charging case from different angles.

Reliable industry insider, Evan Blass, who has been a consistent source of Galaxy Buds Pro leaks recently, has got hold of a promotional animation of the upcoming product. It shows the 360-degree design of the buds and their case.

Galaxy Buds Pro leak in a 360-degree promotional animation

As you can see in the attached leaked promotional animation below, the Galaxy Buds Pro have a canal-type in-ear design similar to the original Galaxy Buds, or Buds+. They feature multiple microphones both on the inside as well as outside. The ear tips look slightly oval-shaped in design than the more rounded ones found on the Galaxy Buds+.

The case for the Galaxy Buds Pro looks very similar to that of the Galaxy Buds Live. It is a rounded square-shaped case with the Samsung logo and the “sound by AKG” branding at the top. The case has a USB Type-C port for charging on the backside. There are two LED indicators, one on the inside and the other on the outside, at the front.

This leak shows the Galaxy Buds Pro in a black color, which Samsung is branding Phantom Black. However, the buds would also be coming in two more colorways – Phantom Silver and Phantom Violet.

As the branding on the charging case reveals, the buds have AKG-tuned audio. A spec leak earlier this week revealed that they feature Bluetooth 5.1. If you recall, Samsung’s previous TWS offerings feature Bluetooth 5.0. So the upcoming pair should bring more connection reliability to the table. The buds also have active noise cancellation (ANC).

Samsung is packing a 500mAh battery in the case while the buds get 60mAh batteries each. The Galaxy Buds+ pack an 85mAh battery each, with the case housing a 270mAh battery. Samsung claims up to 22 hours of playtime on a single charge. So the Galaxy Buds Pro should last longer than this year’s model.

Reports suggest that Samsung is planning to price the Galaxy Buds Pro at $199 at launch. This would help the company undercut the $249 AirPods Pro. It’s now about a month of a wait before things go official. Samsung is expected to take the stage with the Galaxy S21 series and the Galaxy Buds Pro on January 14, 2021.
