Samsung Confirms Galaxy S21 Launch Date, Camera Info & More

Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy S21 launch date via its largest India store. The information has been shared with Android Authority, and thus removed all doubt when it comes to the Galaxy S21’s arrival.

So, the Galaxy S21 series will become official on January 14, as expected. It is also said that the sales will commence on January 29 in India, as stocks will arrive to the country only a week after the phone’s global launch.

This very same store is also taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S21 series already. Indian users can pre-book the Galaxy S21, S21+, or S21 Ultra for INR2,000 ($27). Following that, the store will keep you of the exact availability and delivery details via WhatsApp.

In addition to the Galaxy S21 launch date, Ultra’s camera information has also been confirmed

That very same store has also confirmed color options for the Galaxy S21 phones. The Galaxy S21 will become available in gray, pink, purple, and white colors. The Galaxy S21+ is coming in pink, purple, silver, and black models.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra, the most powerful of them all, is coming in black and silver options. We’ve already seen some of these colors in previous leaks.

That’s not all, by the way. That store also shared some information regarding the Galaxy S21 cameras, well, the Galaxy S21 Ultra in particular. A 108-megapixel main camera has been confirmed, and the same goes for two 10-megapixel sensors.

One of those 10-megapixel cameras will support 10x optical zoom, and laser autofocus. The fourth rear-facing camera will probably be a 12-megapixel unit, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The Samsung Exynos 2100 will fuel all Galaxy S21 models in India, it was said. So, it seems like the Snapdragon 888 is, once again, limited to other markets, such as the US and China. If you’d like to know more about the Galaxy S21 series, check out our preview.
