Don't Count On Getting A Charger & Earphones With The Galaxy S21

The Samsung Galaxy S21 retail box will miss more than just a charger, it seems. This information comes from a well-known tipster, Ishan Agarwal, though he already deleted the tweet he shared it in.

GSM Arena did manage to get a screenshot of the tweet before it was deleted, though. The tipster says that the charging brick will be missing from the box, while the same goes for the earphones.

The Galaxy S21 retail box won’t include a charger, while it’ll miss the earphones as well

It is worth noting that he is talking about the UK Galaxy S21 series devices, so things may differ in other regions. He does note that the USB-C cable will be included, though, so that’s at least something.

While things may differ in other regions, chances are they won’t, at least in most other regions. Samsung is following Apple’s lead by excluding a charger, unfortunately. Xiaomi did the same thing with the Mi 11 in China, though in a different way.

Xiaomi is offering its customers a chance to get the charging brick as well. An environmentally-friendly model is just an option for buyers who already have a charger for the device.

The base model will ship with a fullHD+ display, it seems

The last thing Ishan Agarwal confirmed is a fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) display for the regular Galaxy S21 handset. That was to be expected, though, as its specifications did surface several times thus far.

The Galaxy S21 series is expected to become official on January 14. Samsung will announce its Galaxy S devices earlier than usual in 2021. They usually land towards the end of February.

The Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra will be announced during that event. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected to be the only one to offer a curved display, and S Pen support. The three devices will look quite similar, but their internals will differ. If you’d like to know more, check out our Galaxy S21 preview.
