Motorola Capri & Capri Plus Phones’ Specifications Leaked

As per a fresh report by German publication Technik News, Motorola is expected to launch two budget smartphones in Q1 next year. Notably, the specifications of the duo, the Motorola Capri and Capri Plus have been leaked.

Motorola is all set to reveal a Snapdragon 865-powered flagship phone, codenamed “Nio,” in Q1 2021. In fact, the company was spotted testing an unusual 105Hz refresh rate display for this “Nio” device.

Apparently, there is no confirmation whether this unusual 105Hz refresh rate sighting is just for testing or Motorola will actually bring a 105Hz refresh rate phone.

However, the latest information now shows that the company also wants to expand its budget lineup. The Motorola Capri and Motorola Capri Plus carry the model numbers XT2127 and XT2129, respectively.

Leaked specifications show that the Motorola Capri will sport a 60Hz display. While the Motorola Capri Plus will pack a 90Hz refresh rate display.

Moreover, it is expected that the Snapdragon 460 SoC will power that Motorola Capri. Note that this is the same chipset that powers the recently launched OnePlus Nord N100 smartphone. So, Motorola may bring a competitor for the Nord.

Motorola Capri will house a 48MP camera, while the Capri Plus will come with a 64MP lens

Talking about other specifications, the Motorola Capri will house a 720×1600 resolution HD+ display. The phone may ship with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.

Capri is executed to sport an 8MP selfie shooter inside the water-drop notch. Besides, there will be a quad-camera setup at the back. The rear-camera module will pack a 48MP primary lens, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP OmniVision ov02b1b depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens.

Coming to the Motorola Capri Plus, the leak notes that there is no clarity on which processor will power the device. It is expected to come in 4/6GB RAM options, while it would offer 64/128GB of onboard storage.

The Capri Plus will pack a 13MP selfie camera. At the back, the quad-camera setup will have a 64MP primary lens, 13MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens.

As of now, the battery capacity of both phones is not yet known. We assume that both phones will sport features like Android 11 out of the box, NFC, and dual-SIM support.

Apart from the “Nio” and these two budget phones, i.e. the Capri and Capri Plus, Motorola is also set to release an actual flagship phone.

The upcoming phone will be powered by the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. It will be launched in 2021 and interestingly, it will be the 10th generation phone under the Moto G series.
