If You Own The OnePlus 8T, You Can Help OnePlus Improve OxygenOS

If you own one of the OnePlus 8T units, you can help the company improve OxygenOS. How? Well, OnePlus has announced a closed beta program for OnePlus 8T owners.

This beta program will become available for new testers this week. Do note that only 200 testers can get in, and there are a couple of requirements. First is quite an obvious one, you need to be the owner of the OnePlus 8T.

If you are, and you’re interested, then I hope you’ve been active on the OnePlus community forums as well. Why? Well, that’s also a requirement for you to be accepted. OnePlus wants to deal with active members only, which is understandable.

If you do get accepted, you’ll need to share feedback through Slack, as you’ll be required to test software in the early stages of its development. OnePlus also notes that this group will be required to keep everything secret.

You can help the company by testing early OxygenOS builds for the OnePlus 8T

As a member, you’ll be getting new software builds and features weeks, or even months before they’re made available to the public. You will also be required to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) with the company, before you’re accepted.

Now, if you fulfill all of these requirements, and you’re willing to be a tester, then feel free to apply. You can do it via this link, while you can see OnePlus’ original post regarding this by clicking here.

Before you apply, do note that you’ll be required to use your OnePlus 8T units for tests. Therefore, you may not be able to use it as your daily driver, as it will run early builds of OxygenOS. So, chances are you’ll need to reach for another device for a period of time.

This is a great way for you, as a user, to help the company develop OxygenOS as fast as possible. As part of this beta program, you may be asked for your opinion on new features as well, and who knows what else.
