The Xiaomi Mi 11 will be one of the more affordable Snapdragon 888 flagships, it seems. The phone is scheduled to arrive on December 28, the company confirmed recently. Now, the phone’s price tag surfaced.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 will likely be one of the more affordable SD888 flagships, as expected
According to this information, the base Xiaomi Mi 11 will arrive with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and it will cost CNY4,500 ($687/€565) in China. In global markets, it will be a bit more expensive, but not much.
The 256GB storage variant of the device is said to cost CNY4,800 ($$735/€600), while the model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB will be priced at CNY5,200 ($800/€650). All of this information is based on the leaked image, which you can see below.
Do note that we cannot confirm this information at all, so take it with a grain of salt. Such price tags also indicate that the Mi 11 will be more expensive than its predecessor. In China, the Mi 10 price tags were $20 lower.
Having said that, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro was considerably more expensive than the Mi 10. With that in mind, the Mi 11 Pro will probably arrive with a considerably higher price tag as well. Well, unless Xioami plans to call the 12GB RAM variant of the Mi 11 the Mi 11 Pro, but that’s unlikely.
Both the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro will launch on December 28
Both the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro are expected to become official on December 28. The global launch of the Mi 11 series will follow in early 2021, maybe even in January.
Now, Xiaomi actually teased something else via its official Weibo page. It confirmed that the Mi 11 will support ‘computational photography’, for better image processing.
It will use artificial intelligence (AI) in order to improve your photos. This should work really well, but we’ll, of course, have to wait and see for ourselves. Google is doing an excellent job with image processing, so let’s see how will Xiaomi do in that regard.
