Xiaomi has confirmed that its Mi 11 flagship will launch on December 28. The company confirmed this via its official Weibo account, so chances are we’re looking at its China launch.

There’s a slight chance Xiaomi will make a global announcement on that date, but nothing has been revealed via its official global social media channels. Therefore, it leads us to believe a global launch will come later on.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 flagship will launch on December 28

In any case, Xiaomi clearly confirmed that the Mi 11 is coming, and that the event will start at 7:30 PM on December 28. We’re looking at a Chinese timezone here, so that means it’ll start at 11:30 AM CET / 4:30 AM PST / 5:30 AM EST.

Having said that, some more information regarding the Mi 11 surfaced. The device will, allegedly, arrive in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, with 128GB and 256GB of storage, respectively.

The source also notes that the 8GB RAM variant will arrive in Smoked Purple (leather) and White color options. The 12GB RAM model will ship in Blue, Smoke Purple (leather), and a ‘special version’.

Do take this information with a grain of salt, as we can’t confirm the source. The Mi 11 is also expected to launch in regular Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro versions. So, the 8GB RAM model could be the regular variant, while the 12GB RAM model could be the ‘Pro’ version.

Live images of the device surfaced recently

Live images of the device did surface earlier this month. The phone will include new rear camera housing, which will look really interesting. A 50-megapixel camera is expected to lead the charge in the camera department.

The Snapdragon 888 will fuel both Mi 11 variants, while both versions will include large battery packs, around 5,000mAh. Android 11 will come pre-installed on the Xiaomi Mi 11, with a new version of MIUI skin.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 will be made out of metal and glass, most likely, while a leather model is apparently a possibility as well. A display camera hole will be included, and the phone’s bezels will be quite thin.
