Samsung has been rumored to take a play from Apple’s playbook, and release the Galaxy S21 series without a charger. That won’t be the case in all countries, though, it seems. Thanks to a new leak, we get to take a look at the charger-less Galaxy S21 retail box.
This information comes from WinFuture, who shared two marketing images, which seem to be official ones. In these images, which are included below this paragraph, you can see a very thin retail box, and a phone next to it.
Charger-less Galaxy S21+ & S21 Ultra retail box images have surfaced
The first image shows the Galaxy S21+ and its retail box, while the second one is the Galaxy S21 Ultra. A large letter ‘S’ is included on these boxes, and the images also list what’s included on the inside.
Aside from the phone, Samsung will include a quick start guide, a USB Type-C data cable, and an ejection pin. So, a charging brick won’t be included, you can use your old one, or buy it separately.
Now, the source says that Samsung wants to ship the Galaxy S21 series without a charger in most countries. At the moment, we’re not sure what those countries are, exactly, but it’s quite possible it will launch in Europe without a charger.
We’re not sure if Samsung will offer a second set with the charger included, regardless, you’ll have to pay extra to get that charger. Chances are you’ll have to get it separately, but Samsung will probably make sure enough units are available.
Earphones won’t be included either
Another thing you’ll notice here, is that earphones won’t be included either. Some users probably expected a wired set of earphones, or perhaps even Samsung’s true wireless ones with the ‘Ultra’ model, but that won’t be the case, it seems.
Those may be available as a pre-order perk in some countries, but they won’t be included in the retail box, with the device. The Galaxy S21 series is rumored to start at $800, but we’ll see what will the official information say.
