On January 21 Discovery Inc. announced Discovery+ new & original programs due to be available in February. The service launched January 4 2021 which means it is very new. But its infancy in the streaming wars doesn’t mean it is just sitting by idly.
Starting February subscribers will be greeted with 23 new titles to stream and get lost in. However, it is expected that more programs will be announced in the coming days. These 23 new titles are part of 1,000+ hours of original programming premiering on the new streaming service in 2021.
If you are interested in discovery+ and you’re a Verizon customer the good news is you can get up to 12 months free. Verizon has a partnership with Discovery+ to give its customers with select plans up to 12 months of free service.
Discovery+ is available on various platforms and devices from Amazon, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Roku, and Samsung.
Discovery+ new & original programs cover everyone viewing tastes
Discovery+ has you covered across various genres. For all animal lovers, you will be able to watch Puppy Bowl Presents: The Dog Games on February 7. You can watch trainers and their furry partners as they compete to see who is the best showman with the best tricks and talent.
Maybe you are more interested in true crime programs. Starting February 5 you can watch Unseamly: The Investigation of Peter Nygard. Other true crime shows include If I Can’t Have You: The Jodi Arias Story (February 12), Talking Evil (February 14), Where Murder Lies (February 16), The Chameleon Killer (February 19), and The List of Ten (February 23).
But if you don’t have a love for the macabre then there are some normal love and relationship programs as well. Both of the new love and relationship programs will be available on February 14 on Valentine’s Day. How fitting wouldn’t you say? For the lovers out there you can watch 90 Day Fiance: Love Games and 90 Day Fiance: Lovers Collection.
If you are a lover of food-focused programs there are Mary McCartney Serves It Up (February 4), Chopped Sweets (February 9), and Luda Can’t Cook (February 25). A show with rapper Ludacris trying to cook seems like it could be infinitely hilarious.
For lovers of house and home programs you can watch One Week to Sell on February 3, and on February 17 tune in to House Hunters: Comedians on Couches Unfiltered. Long Island Medium: There In Spirit (February 5) will keep lifestyle viewers entertained.
Scary programming during the month of love
February may be the month of love, but some people love the paranormal. For those viewers, there is Nostradamus: End of Days (February 16), The Exorcism of Roland Doe (February 5), Fright Club (February 9), Aliens in Alaska (February 15), and Mountain Monsters: By The Fire (February 21).
Do you love documentaries? If so tune in on February 11 for They Call Me Dr. Miami. And on February 25 you can catch Ski Bum: The Warren Miller Story. Lastly for all of the science and technology lovers, there is Battlebots: Bounty Hunters available to view on February 8.
