The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is coming on January 14, and some of its features have been revealed in a new One UI 3.1 leak. This information has been shared by JimmyIsPromo on YouTube (embedded below), and spotted by Android Police.
Five Galaxy S21 Ultra features are highlighted in the video
Some of these features will appear on all Galaxy S21 units, actually, well, probably most of them. There are five features to talk about here, so, let’s get into it.
The first feature allows you to continue using some apps on other devices. Do note that you will need to be signed into the same Samsung account on both devices, though. Yes, we’re talking about Samsung apps here, and at launch, this will apply to the Samsung Internet and Samsung Notes apps only, it seems.
The second feature is called ‘call background videos’, or something similar to that. Samsung will offer some interesting video backgrounds in One UI 3.1, one of which offers a dancing AR emoji.
The third feature will allow you to choose between Google Discover and Samsung Free. These are essentially home screen feeds you’ll be able to choose between. If you don’t prefer either, you can remove both.
Classic S Pen features will be included
The fourth feature regards the S Pen. As most of you know by now, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected to be the very first Galaxy S smartphone compatible with the S Pen. Well, this piece of information shares more details.
In the video, it is confirmed that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will support classic S Pen features. Features such as Air View, Air Command, and Screen off memo.
The last feature we’ll talk about is the Director’s View. This may sound familiar, as it was supposed to launch with the One UI 2.0, but didn’t happen. This feature allows you to switch seamlessly between different cameras. It may also allow you to record from two (or more) cameras at the same time.
In the video, you’ll also see some additional stuff, such as the ‘Focus Enhancer’ feature which allows you to choose the video resolution right from the recording screen.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra will launch on January 14, alongside the Galaxy S21 and S21+. The Galaxy Buds Pro true wireless earbuds are also expected to arrive.
