Only One Galaxy S21 Variant Will Offer A MicroSD Card Slot

According to new information, only one Samsung Galaxy S21 variant will offer a microSD card slot. That feature will be reserved for the Galaxy S21 Ultra, it seems. This information comes from Roland Quandt, a well-known tipster.

He shared the info via Twitter, while he noted that this information goes for European Galaxy S21 models. Things may differ in other regions, he cannot be sure, as he has information for Europe only.

Only the Galaxy S21 Ultra will offer a microSD card slot, it seems

So, those of you who were hoping to expand the storage on the Galaxy S21 or S21+, you’re out of luck. You’ll have to spring for the Galaxy S21 Ultra, it seems. The source also notes that he received this information from two different sources, and that almost completely sure it’s accurate.

Having said that, the Galaxy S21 series will become official on January 14. Samsung had announced its first Unpacked event this year, and set it for that date.

During the event, the company is expected to announce three Galaxy S21 smartphones. That’s not all, though, as the Galaxy Buds Pro true wireless earbuds are also expected to become official.

A lot of Galaxy S21 series information surfaced thus far

A lot of information regarding the Galaxy S21 series surfaced in the last couple of weeks, even months. All three phones appeared in renders, while their spec sheets also surfaced in one way or the other.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra will differ from the S21 and S21+ in terms of specs quite a bit. Samsung wanted to separate the ‘Ultra’ model as its very premium offering. The Galaxy S21 and S21+ will be quite compelling as well.

Depending on the region, these three smartphones will be fueled by either the Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100. All three phones will be equipped with plenty of RAM, and high-refresh rate displays.
