This Is What The Huawei Mate X2 Foldable May Look Like

The Huawei Mate X2 foldable smartphone is coming soon, and now we know what it may look like. A well-known tipster, Digital Chat Station, shared a render of the device via Twitter.

Leaked render shows us what the Huawei Mate X2 foldable may look like

He does suggest that the phone looks like that, but we’re not sure if this is a direct leak, or just a visual representation of what he knows. Regardless, this is what you can expect the Mate X2 to look like, it seems.

The device will become official on February 22, as Huawei confirmed recently. The device will become official in China on that date, but a global variant should follow at some point after that.

Now, regarding the design. As you can see, the Huawei Mate X2 will feature an in-folding design. So, it will be considerably different than its predecessor, the Mate X. This approach is far more similar to what Samsung is doing with the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

The bezels will be relatively thin on the device, and that goes for both its main and secondary displays. The main display will not have a notch or a display camera hole. You’ll get a huge canvas with that panel.

The secondary display will include a pill-shaped camera hole

The secondary display, on the other hand, will include two cameras, and a pill-shaped display camera hole. The phone will be quite narrow and tall when folded, which is easily noticeable in the image.

The Huawei Mate X2 will almost certainly be made out of metal and glass. Unfortunately, we do not see the back side of the phone in the provided render. So, we don’t exactly know what to expect in the camera department.

The phone’s main display is expected to feature an 8.01-inch 2,480 x 2,200 AMOLED display. Its secondary panel, on the other hand, will measure 6.45 inches. A 4,400mAh battery was also mentioned in rumors, as was 66W fast charging.
