Thanks to the availability of tons of third-party launcher apps, operating big-screen smartphones have become easier to operate. One such launcher that makes one-hand operation easy is Niagara Launcher. And guess what? It is finally out of beta.
Smartphones have become “smarter” over the years, and with that, the size of the display has also grown bigger. Several users find it uncomfortable to operate such huge-screen phones.
OEMs themselves have tried to provide a solution for one-hand usage by including one-hand modes, the problem is still widespread. Though a bunch of third-party launchers is available to fix this issue, they don’t provide you with a great overall experience.
However, Niagara Launcher, which is developed by XDA Member 8bitpit and XDA Recognized Developer Maxr1998, brings a fresh take on the Android homescreen.
It lays out all the apps in a list on your device’s homescreen, where you simply need to scroll up and down to access them, or swipe your finger across the alphabet on the right. It has taken a long time for the developers to finally make it available via the stable channel.
To be specific, it was under development for four years and was available in beta mode on the Play Store for over two years. During these two years, it received plenty of features and raked in over a million installs.
Niagara Launcher provides ease of one-hand usage and minimalist design
There are a ton of features that you will understand after using the app. Talking about the features, as already mentioned, the apps are listed in alphabetical order.
It provides you an option to customize the list and add your favorite apps to the top. Moreover, it also features an adaptive feature. Basically, it brings the right app to the top of the list on which you are receiving notifications, etc.
Meaning that all of your notifications, calls, calendar events, etc., and their corresponding apps will feature on top if there is any activity on these apps.
You can also reply or preview the notifications with just a single tap. Pretty nifty! The built-in media widget is another awesome feature that shows right up on top of the app list on your homescreen for easy access.
Furthermore, Niagara Launcher lets you customize almost every aspect of your device’s homescreen right from the font, font color, app icons, icon size, and much more.
All these features are provided without any ads at all. If you wish to explore more customization options, then you can opt for the Niagara Pro, which costs €6/$6/₹100 per year.
Niagara Pro is available for a lower early access price of €4/$4/₹80 per year for the next few days. You can download the Niagara Launcher from the Google Play Store.
