OnePlus hasn’t been that consistent in rolling out new updates for a while. FYI, Android 11 is yet to arrive on OnePlus 7 and 7T series phones. Well, at least the OnePlus Nord N10 5G is picking a new update that adds February 2021 security patches and 5G improvements.
Just last month, the OnePlus Nord N10 received OxygenOS 10.5.9 update. Cut to now, another update is live for the device which bundles a bunch of improvements for the phone.
OnePlus took a different route last year and instead of sticking with flagship phones, introduced mid-rangers under the Nord series. To be more specific, these are just OPPO rebranded phones. So, OnePlus just entered a new category with its parent’s products. I hope you make sense of it.
Coming back to the latest update for OnePlus Nord N10 5G, it arrives with OxygenOS version 10.5.10. The size of the update is 550MB. It goes without saying you should download the update on a stable internet connection.
Not only the update bumps the security patch level to February 2021, but it also makes OnePlus Nord N10 5G the first phone from the entire OnePlus family to receive the latest security patch. The important thing to note is that the update is still based on Android 10. Not done OnePlus!
OnePlus Nord N10 also gets an updated GMS package & 5G network stability and improvement
Other features of the update include improvements and 5G network stability for the device. Moreover, it also updates the GMS (Google Mobile Services) package to 2020.12.
OnePlus is seeding the OxygenOS 10.5.10 update for the OnePlus Nord N10 Global and European variants. However, you should keep in mind that the update is rolling out via OTA in batches.
That also means that it may not be available for every OnePlus Nord N10 5G user in the region where it is live. If you have received the update, then you are good to go.
For some reason, if your device did not detect the update, then can either wait for the OTA or manually check for it. To check if the update is available for your OnePlus Nord N10 5G yet, head to Settings>> System>> System Update.
Thanks to XDA, you can also download the update package file for the European variant by clicking here. After downloading the update package, you need to place the file in the root directory of your device’s internal storage.
After that navigate to Settings>> System>> System Update>> Local Update and select the downloaded package to initiate the installation.
