Security updates are important to keeping smartphones safe. For example, security updates aim to close any vulnerabilities that may allow hackers to access your credentials for your banking app. As a result, vulnerabilities like these can leave users’ financials exposed.
The new updates are being rolled out by OnePlus to OnePlus Nord N100 owners in Europe and North America. The new update will reach owners in batches, so if you haven’t received it yet keep your eyes open.
If you are impatient and do not want to wait on the automatic update you can manually check. To do so go to settings>system>system updates. If the update doesn’t show you can continue to wait or you manually flash the update yourself.
Manually flashing a software update requires some extra steps, but nothing too difficult. First, you need to download the file from OnePlus. After downloading the file move the file to the root of your internal storage. Next, you can go to settings>system>system update>local update.
