The latest smartphone from Samsung to be ticked off from the list of devices which has received Android 11 with One UI 3.0 update is the Galaxy XCover Pro.
Samsung began this year with a lot in its hands. Notably, the company first got done with the launch of its Galaxy S21 series devices at the Unpacked event on January 14.
On the other hand, the company is also continuing with the rollout of the Android 11 One UI 3.0 stable update. Since Samsung has a vast portfolio of Android smartphones, the rollout is far from over.
But the company is doing its best. Probably the best among other smartphone brands, to serve the latest firmware update to its users.
According to XDA, the latest device from the OEM to get the experience of One UI 3.0 update is Galaxy XCover Pro. Just recently, Galaxy A51 also bagged the Android 11 update in Russia.
As for the specs of the Galaxy XCover Pro is concerned, it was launched back a year ago. It packs a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display, dual 25MP primary camera, 4,050 mAh battery.
The device came with Android 10 One UI 2.0 out of the box. Meaning that this Android 11 update will be the first OS update for the phone.
Android 11 update for Galaxy XCover Pro arrives with build version BUA8
This new Galaxy XCover Pro Android 11 update bumps the security patch level to the latest January 2021. Along with this, it also brings all the latest features of Android 11 and One UI 3.0.
Stock Android 11 features include, chat bubbles, a conversation section in the notifications area, a one-time permissions option, dedicated media playback widget, etc.
Latest One UI 3.0 features, including Quick Settings toggle, notification bubbles, redesigned volume controls, revamped home screen design, new icons, video enhancer, improved privacy and security controls, also give the device a new feel.
The update arrives with build version BUA8and it rolling out across the globe. However, note that the update is seeding via OTA in batches. So, it will take some time to show up on every Galaxy XCover Pro simultaneously.
Fortunately, you can manually check for the update on your Galaxy device. To do that, you need to go to Settings>>System updates. After that, click on the “Download and install” option. Your phone will begin checking for the new update.
In case a new update is detected, then you can begin with the downloading and installation process. Also, if no update is detected, then you need to wait for the update to reach you via OTA. Sadly, the official changelog is not available at the moment.
