Galaxy Z Flip 3 Won't Be Heavier Than The Original Z Flip

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is on the way, and a new tip claims it won’t be heavier than the original Z Flip. This information comes from Ice Universe, a well-known tipster.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 won’t be heavier than the Z Flip, it seems

He shared the info via Twitter, claiming that the Z Flip 3 will weigh 183 grams. For those of you out of the loop, the Z Flip weighs the same. The same goes for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G as well, actually.

The main display on the device will be the exact same size as on its predecessor. The cover display will be larger, though, quite a bit larger. That won’t affect the phone’s weight, though, it seems.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is said to feature a 6.7-inch main display with a resolution of 2636 x 1080. The cover display will measure 1.83 inches, based on rumors. For comparison’s sake, the cover display on the Galaxy Z Flip measures 1.1 inches.

The device will allegedly arrive in August

Samsung is tipped to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 3 alongside several other devices. It is expected to arrive alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3, S21 FE, Watch 4, and Watch Active 4. All of those devices are expected to arrive in August.

Samsung still did not confirm that launch timeframe, nor anything of the sort. We’ve seen conflicting information as well, some rumors say it will launch in July, others in August.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3’s design also surfaced a while back. It seems like the device will feature a two-tone design, with two cameras on the back. Those cameras will be placed right next to the cover display.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also rumored to be a lot more affordable than its predecessor. The phone will allegedly cost $999, well, its base model will. It remains to be seen if that’s accurate, though, as the Z Flip 5G launched with a price tag of $1,499. If you’d like to know more about the device, check out our Galaxy Z Flip 3 preview.
