Seems like OnePlus is all set to expand its Nord lineup with a new smartphone called OnePlus Nord CE 5G. Importantly, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC.
Notably, the phone will make its global debut in India. The launch date of the Nord CE 5G is set on June 10. OnePlus hasn’t given a peek into the specs of the phone.
But thanks to folks at Android Central, we have some insights on the specifications of the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 5G phone.
As already mentioned, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G is expected to be powered by the very popular Snapdragon 750G chipset. This chipset has already been seen on devices such as the Galaxy A52 5G and Xiaomi Mi 10i.
Talking about the display on the phone, it is speculated to pack a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel. The sources reveal it will be a 90Hz high refresh rate display, which is a nice thing to see.
Moreover, the AMOLED panel is also a nice thing to see as the first-gen Nord devices, i.e. Nord N10 and N100 came with an LCD screen.
OnePlus Nord CE 5G is expected to come with a 64MP primary lens
Coming to the cameras on the phone, the Nord CE 5G is speculated to come with a 64MP primary lens. But that’s not all. Apparently, there are other two cameras as well, the specs of which are not known at the moment.
The design of the device will also see some changes. The phone is expected to be similar to the latest flagships from the company OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro.
As far as the launching of the phone is concerned, the Nord CE 5G will be launched stage-wise. The phone will be launched in select global markets. OnePlus plans to release the phone in Indian and European markets.
Hopes are high with this new OnePlus Nord CE 5G as the Nord is still considered a value-for-money phone in the mid-range category.
OnePlus’s upcoming Nord CE 5G will go head to head with the mid-rangers from the Xiaomi and Realme. Some specifications such as details about other cameras, RAM, onboard storage is not yet out.
However, we expect these details to come out as the launch date is not too far away. It will be interesting to see how the latest entry into the Nord lineup performs in the already jam-packed mid-range segment.
