DOOGEE has announced a new smartphone, the S97 Pro. This is the company’s new flagship, and it comes with the Helio G95 SoC from MediaTek. One of its main selling features is its professional laser rangefinder. This is also a rugged smartphone, by the way.
The phone is available in Orange Tiger, Red Lava, and Silver Black colors from AliExpress for $329.99. If you end up being one of the first 300 people to get it, you can buy it for only $199.99. As already mentioned, this phone is equipped with a professional rangefinder. It will basically eradicate the need for rulers and tape measures. It features eight measurement modes and a 40-meter range.
There is a mode for a single measurement, such as a continuous measurement when you’re walking around. There’s also an area measurement, where the length and width are measured separately to automatically calculate the area.
Volume measurement is also included, and the same goes for three Pythagoras modes to measure sloping edges, right angles, hypotenuse, and heights. Either of the modes can be selected from the phone itself.
This phone is also supposed to be able to take good photos thanks to its 48-megapixel camera from Samsung. It has four cameras on the back. In addition to that 48-megapixel unit, you’ll also find an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel portrait unit.
The phone is dustproof and scratch-resistant. It is waterproof as well, as it features IP68 and IP69K ratings. It has a waterproof stopper on the Type-C port, earphone jack, and a SIM card slot.
The DOOGEE S97 Pro is also shockproof. It comes with MIL-STD-810G military grade ruggedness certification. When it comes to its build, it combines soft TPU and aluminum alloy.
The phone features a 6.39-inch HD+ display, while it comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You can expand its storage, if you want. An 8,500mAh battery sits inside of this phone, while it supports 33W fast wired charging. Wireless charging is also supported.
Android 11 comes pre-installed on the phone, while the device does feature a fingerprint scanner. It also supports facial scanning.
