It has been leaks galore recently. And despite Samsung’s crackdown, there’s no stopping to it. The latest one comes from e-commerce giant Amazon and it’s massive, as it reveals the entire Galaxy Watch 4 lineup in all its glory.
We already know that Samsung‘s upcoming smartwatches will be available in two models – the vanilla Galaxy Watch 4 and the Watch 4 Classic, which features the rotating bezel. Each model will come in two size variants – the former in 40mm and 44mm; the latter in 42mm and 46mm. Though we are still nearly a month away from their launch, Amazon Canada has already listedallfourvariants (via), complete with high-res renders, key specs, price, and the release date.
Amazon reveals everything we need to know about the Galaxy Watch 4 series
According to the Amazon listings, the vanilla Galaxy Watch 4 will have an aluminum frame. The 40mm variant will sport a 1.19-inch display and pack a 247mAh battery. It will have a dimension of 28.2 x 6.1 x 3.1 cm and weigh 205 grams. The 44mm variant, meanwhile, will measure 28.2 x 6.1 x 3.1 cm in dimension and weigh 208 grams. This watch will sport a 1.36-inch display and include a 361mAh battery.
Coming to the Classic model, Amazon says it will be made of stainless steel. The listings show the 42mm and 46mm variants match the screen size, battery capacity, dimension, and weight of the 40mm and 44mm Galaxy Watch 4 respectively. We will have to wait and see if that’s accurate or there’s any discrepancy.
All four Galaxy Watch 4 variants will be water-resistant and run Wear OS. The listings also confirm the presence of the BIA (Bio-Electrical Impedance Analysis) sensor, which helps measure your body fat composition. The devices also get a heart rate sensor, a SpO2 sensor for measuring blood oxygen levels, a sleep monitor, and more. Other key specs include Wi-Fi, NFC, and GPS. Despite some reports suggesting otherwise, Samsung’s upcoming watches will come with a charging dock included in the box, at least in Canada.
Price and release date
Coming to the prices, the 40mm Galaxy Watch 4 will cost CA$310 (approx. US$250), according to the Amazon Canada listing. The 44mm variant is listed with a price tag of CA$346 (~$280). The Classic model, meanwhile, will cost CA$428 (~$345) for the 42mm variant and CA$464 (~$375) for the 46mm variant. If you remember, these prices are lower than what previous leaks have suggested. So we suggest you wait until Samsung officially announces the new watches. That should happen on August 11.
As for the availability, all four Galaxy Watch 4 variants are said to go on sale on August 27 through Amazon Canada. That’s the date we’ve heard in previous leaks as well. So that seems accurate. Anyways, it’s just a few weeks of a wait now before the watches go official.
