Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Watch 4 Teased In An Official Samsung Video

Samsung has just given us a glimpse of two of its upcoming devices – the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The company recently published a new promo video titled “Voices of Galaxy” on YouTube. While the video primarily features app developers talking about its Good Lock customization tool, you can briefly see the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the hands of one of the developers. The same developer is also seen wearing the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic throughout the video.

Samsung gives us a glimpse of the Galaxy Z Fold 3

The video is not very revealing, likely on purpose. The device that we are calling the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is covered in a leather case. However, the rear camera housing and half of the device’s top edge are partly visible. And they largely match the design elements that we have seen in multiple leaks in the past.

Unfortunately, we can’t see much of the foldable display. But this little snippet seems to show that display crease is here to stay in the third-gen Galaxy Z Fold as well. The crease is not as noticeable as the older models but it’s there. Interestingly, the developer holding the Galaxy Z Fold 3 can also be seen holding an S Pen in the video. That could be a confirmation that the upcoming foldable supports the S Pen.

Another interesting bit to take from the video is that the leather case appears to cover the hinge as well as the secondary display. That’s nice to see considering how the original Fold and Fold 2 had limited case options and they mostly left the hinge uncovered.

The part of this leather case covering the secondary display isn’t attached to the device. So it should work like a flip cover when the device is folded. Also, this part seems a bit wider than the phone’s breadth. Perhaps it will accommodate the S Pen, we’ll have to wait and see.

Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is also seen in the video

The new Samsung promo video also features the same developer wearing a new smartwatch which we believe is the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The wearable in question has flat side buttons, something that we are expecting to see on the upcoming Samsung smartwatch. The original Galaxy Watch also featured a similar design for buttons but this device doesn’t entirely match that design language.

This appears to be the gray color variant of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The wearable will also be available in white and black color options. Additionally, the video shows the watch attached to a leather strap. Samsung will likely sell both leather and silicone straps for the device.

Samsung has yet to reveal the date for its next Galaxy Unpacked event, though there are strong indications that it will take place on August 11. The event should see both Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic break cover. The Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Watch 4 (Active), and the Galaxy Buds 2 should also arrive on the same day. Stay tuned as we bring to you all the latest happenings around the upcoming Samsung devices.
