If you want consistent and speedy updates, then Samsung is the brand to go for. Currently, the company is rolling out the latest October 2021 security update for its Galaxy S21 series phones. Along with the latest security patch, the update also adds support for digital key control on Galaxy S21 devices. Do note that the digital key control is currently rolling out in Korea only.
Notably, the update is rolling out in multiple regions that include Germany, the Philippines, India, and South Korea. For other regions, the update bumps the security patch level to the latest month and also brings some fixes for minor issues.
However, for South Korea, at the time of writing this article, the update also adds the digital key control feature for supported cars. The feature is available for the Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra phones.
Interestingly, at the launch of these devices, Samsung itself confirmed the arrival of digital key control for supported car feature to Samsung pass. Now, the feature is finally rolling out for the Galaxy S21 series devices.
If you own a Samsung Galaxy S21 series phone, specifically the Galaxy S21+ or Galaxy S21 Ultra, you can register your car key to Samsung pass to digitally operate it.
