The Google Pixel 6 Pro weight has been revealed by Mishaal Rahman. He has been sharing tidbits about the Pixel 6 Pro for several days now, as he seems to know someone who has the actual device.
The Google Pixel 6 Pro weight has been revealed
He tweeted out that the Pixel 6 Pro weighs 210 grams. Do note that this is not an official spec by Google, but the phone got weighted by the source, using a scale. So, this number could be off by a few grams.
This weight is right on par with the competition, pretty much. The iPhone 13 Pro weighs 204 grams, the Galaxy S21+ 202 grams, and the Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro 204 grams. The iPhone 13 Pro Max and Galaxy S21 Ultra weigh 240 and 227 / 229 grams, respectively, so they’re above and beyond other flagships. We did not mention the Galaxy Z Fold 3 here on purpose, that device is heavier than everything else, for a good reason, it’s in a completely separate category of devices.
It will be in the ballpark of its competitors in regards to weight
So, the Google Pixel 6 Pro won’t exactly be much heavier than its competitors. The phone is expected to be quite large, as it will include a 6.7-inch display. It will be made out of metal and glass, if rumors are to be believed.
210 grams is quite a bit, though. Most people are used to larger phones these days, and those phones do weigh quite a bit. Several OEMs managed to release flagship phones that fall under 200 grams in regards to weight, though those phones usually feature smaller displays.
We still don’t know how much will the regular Pixel 6 weigh. Considering that it will be smaller than the Pixel 6 Pro, in other words, use a smaller display, it should be slightly lighter. The Pixel 6 won’t be a small device, though, not at all, so we wouldn’t expect it to be a lot lighter.
These two smartphones will become official next month. October 19 is rumored to be their release date. The two phones are expected to go on sale on October 28. Those are not official dates, though, so keep that in mind.
