Instagram Brings "Add Yours" Sticker To Reels, Allows Cross-posting To Facebook

Meta has announced a slew of new features for Reels creators across Facebook and Instagram. To begin with, creators can now include the “Add Yours” stickers on Reels on both platforms. This sticker has been available for Instagram Stories since November last year. It quickly grew in popularity, and the company is now bringing it to Reels as well.

The Add Yours sticker lets you continue a trend or encourages people to post more about a topic. You simply add the sticker to your Reels and viewers can easily find all related Reels in one place. They can see who started the trend and can create their own Reel about it. This drives engagement and also connects people with similar interests.

Next up, Meta is rolling out Creator Studio insights for Reels on Facebook. Users will get access to metrics such as reach, minutes played, average watch time, and interactions so they can identify what types of Reels are working best for them. These insights will enable creators to improve and tailor their content according to the preference of their audience.

Eligible Reels creators on Facebook can also now earn money through Stars, which are virtual items that fans can send to their favorite creators. Facebook already supports Stars on longer videos. This is one of the many ways for creators to monetize their content on Meta apps.

Additionally, Meta now supports sequential remixes of Reels on Facebook and Instagram. With this feature, you can have your remix appear after the original Reel. This is on top of the existing ability to create a remix with the original Reel and your version playing side-by-side.

You can now cross-post Reels from Instagram to Facebook

As part of this massive feature drop, Meta is also allowing users to cross-post their Instagram Reels on Facebook. The company says this will allow creators to build a fanbase on both platforms and expand their reach. Moreover, this should also enable them to take advantage of monetization tools across the two social networks.

Last but not least, Facebook is gaining auto-created Reels based on your previous stories and memories on the platform. The social network already reminds you of your past posts and lets you share those as memories. With auto-created Reels, you now have a whole new way of sharing your memories on the app. All of these features are available to Facebook and Instagram creators this week.
