As 2022 is reaching an end, social and streaming platforms are releasing their recap of the year and telling users which creators, music, or videos could stand out from the crowd this year. YouTube announced its Music Recap earlier this week, and now it’s releasing the trending videos, creators, and songs of 2022.
As per the company’s announcement, the US Trending Videos are “based on in-country views of videos uploaded in 2021, excluding Shorts, music videos, trailers, and children’s videos. One video per creator.”

YouTube releases its recap of the best videos, creators & songs of 2022
When it also comes to the US top creators, MrBeast’s channel sits at the top with 114M million subscribers. He is one of the most successful YouTubers, and his commitment to YouTube made him turn down a $1 billion offer for the channel. Mr Beast channel is followed by NichLmao with 18.7 subscribers and Airrack with 10.7M subscribers. Ryan Trahan, Isaiah Photo, Brent Rivera, Dan Rhodes, Luke Davidson, CoryxKenshin, and Ian Boggs are other US top creators of 2022. According to Google Data, these channels are selected based on in-country subscribers gained in 2022.
In the list of US top songs, Encanto Cast with “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” is the top choice by YouTube. After that, Kodak Black with “Super Gremlin” and Jessica Darrow with “Surface Pressure” are the next. These songs are ranked based on their total views in the United States from January 1st, 2022 to November 15th 2022.
Additionaly, Amazon, Telecom Egypt, and Clash of Clans also released the global top ads on YouTube in 2022. These brands are followed by Apple, Hyundai Worldwide, Imagine Your Korea, HBO Max, Netflix, Chevrolet Brasil, and Squarespace.
