The OnePlus 7 series reaches the end of life stage, it will no longer receive updates
OnePlus released the very last update for all four devices this week. Those devices include the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7T Pro. That update added the December security patch, and also improved the system stability and performance, as well as the stability of mobile network connections.
OnePlus did confirm that this will be the last update for the series. Users are not happy following this, for several reasons. Based on the comments, they expected a larger update and a special post from the company, saying goodbye to the devices. On top of that, they’re not that happy with how OnePlus handled the maintenance of the devices over the years.
There are, of course, positive comments there as well. You can always check out the forum post, and see what’s going on. There’s plenty to read through there, and more comments will arrive in the coming days, that’s for sure.
The OnePlus 7T was quite a popular smartphone back in the day, at least in tech circles
The OnePlus 7 series has been fairly popular for the company, that’s for sure. The OnePlus 7T was one of the most balanced smartphones in a long time, in terms of what you’re getting for your money.
Many people were suggesting people should get it at the time, and we were among them. It was truly a great smartphone. The OnePlus 7 Pro delivered the pop-up camera, and that nice-looking display without notches, hole punches, or anything of the sort.
It was an interesting series of phones for the company, that’s for sure. Things have changed quite a bit in a couple of years, however. The OnePlus 11 which launched recently is considerably different than the OnePlus 7 series, in both software and hardware (as in design) departments.
