Yesterday, a tipster said that OnePlus may launch a tablet next month. Well, another tipster now shared similar info. Ishan Agarwal basically confirmed that the very first OnePlus tablet will launch next month, on February 7.
The first OnePlus tablet confirmed by reliable source, coming on February 7
The tipster said that OnePlus plans to announce this tablet during its Cloud 11 launch event. That is the OnePlus 11’s global launch event which will take place in New Delhi, India.
The source also mentioned the name of the tablet, the OnePlus Pad. That is the name we expected, and it’ll likely be the final name of OnePlus’ first tablet. You can also see its teaser in the provided image above.
The tablet is see-through, and on top of it are the OnePlus 11 and the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. You can clearly see that its sides will be flat, and that the volume up and down buttons will sit on the left-hand side.
We’re still not sure what will this tablet look like, nor what specs will it offer. A ton of rumors surfaced over the years, but most of them turned out not to be true. So, we can only guess at this point.
This tablet may resemble the OPPO Pad or OPPO Pad Air
It may resemble the OPPO Pad or OPPO Pad Air which launched last year. Those two tablets also have flat sides, and offer 11-inch and 10.36-inch displays, respectively. The OPPO Pad likely won’t have a display smaller than 10 inches. If we had to guess, we’d say it’ll rock an 11-inch display.
Now, in terms of specs, we’re not really sure what to expect. We’d say that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 won’t be included for sure, but a Snapdragon SoC is expected. Perhaps the Snapdragon 870, or 8+ Gen 1. On the flip side, OnePlus could go for the Snapdragon 710.
A 120Hz AMOLED display is expected, and at least one camera will be included on the back. Fast charging will be supported, and the same goes for stereo speakers.
