Needless to say, this camera does have a lot of use cases. It can detect heat emitted by objects and people. In this video, Ulefone gives out a number of use cases for the camera. For example, you can use it to inspect your car’s engine compartment.
You can also check the overloaded parts of electrical circuits, spot leaking pipes, check appliances (such as refrigerators), measure the temperature of the human body, have some fun by checking how hot your food is, and so on. The video in question is embedded below the article.
The Ulefone Power Armor 18T comes with the Lepton 3.5 thermal camera. It has a resolution of 160×120, which is actually quite high for such a camera. It is actually the most advanced radiometric thermal camera core in the Lepton family. This particular sensor offers four times more thermal resolution than its predecessor. It can read temperatures up to 400 degrees Celsius.
The phone also has the advantage of FLIR’s patented MSX imaging tech. It adds key details from the visual spectrum to the entire infrared image, in real-life. That makes images sharper.

The phone itself is also nothing to scoff at. It includes a gigantic 9,600mAh battery, and supports 66W charging. Yes, a charger is included in the retail box, which some OEMs don’t do these days.
The Power Armor 18T features a 6.58-inch fullHD+ (2408 x 1080) display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 is included on top of it. The Dimensity 900 SoC fuels the phone, while Ulefone also included 12GB of RAM. 256GB of storage is also included, and it’s expandable.
A 108-megapixel main camera (ISOCELL HM2 sensor) sits on the back of the phone. A 5-megapixel microlens is also included (60x super magnification), along with a thermal imaging camera, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
The Ulefone Power Armor 18T is MIL-STD-810H and IP68/IP69K certified. It can not only handle some drops, but it’s also water and dust resistant.
