Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra aces JerryRigEverything's durability test

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra launched earlier this month, and we’ve already seen one durability test video pop up online, the one from PBKreviews. Well, a second one popped up, from the JerryRigEverything YouTube channel, a channel many of you are familiar with.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra does great in JerryRigEverything’s durability test

This testing is entirely different from the one PBKreviews did, of course. So, it’s worth checking out both. That being said, JerryRigEverything’s video has a duration of almost 8 minutes, and the video is embedded below.

He kicks things off by testing the scratch resistance of the phone’s display. The display and the back are protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus 2, by the way. As expected, he managed to scratch the display with a level 6 pick, while the level 7 pick delivered deeper grooves. The same applies for the back side, of course.

The phone’s frame is made out of metal, but not its buttons, which can still be removed. Zack even disassembled the S Pen, so that we can see what lies on the inside. The cameras on the back are also well protected.

The display also handled the exposure to flame really well. It lasted for full 60 seconds under the lighter flame, without a problem or any damage.

The phone aced the bend test

The last test Zack conducted here is, of course, the bend test. The Galaxy S23 Ultra handled it like a champ. It barely moved when Zack applied pressure from the front, and the same goes for the back.

He also noted that Samsung usually does a great job with the build quality, save for the Galaxy Note 7, of course. Those battery issues are a whole different story. The point is, the Galaxy S23 Ultra did a great job in this series of durability tests, which is always good to see.
