The Legend Of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom goes up for pre-order

The long-awaited sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, titled The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is just a few short months away, and you can now pre-order the game. Today during Nintendo’s latest Direct livestream event, the company showed off brand new footage of the game in its second official trailer. The trailer shows off new locale around the world of Hyrule in addition to setting up the main plot.

A dark and stormy Hyrule comes into frame, beset with monsters, all to the tune of ominous music. Just then you hear the cracking boom of Ganon’s voice, looming over the landscape to set the tone for the story. For fans of the series, this will serve as moment to remember. Breath of the Wild was the first Zelda game with voice acting, but Ganon wasn’t present. This means Tears of the Kingdom will be the first time players get to experience Ganon feeling like a more lifelike character.

The trailer also confirms that Ganon will play a central role, surely as the game’s main antagonist. Which seems pretty evident given his line in the trailer. “Rise, rise my servants. Sweep over Hyrule, eliminate this kingdom and her allies. Leave no survivors!!” Ganon bellows.
