Samsung recently confirmed that the Galaxy A54 5G will be official later this week. The Galaxy A34 5G should debut alongside it. Leaks have already revealed pretty much everything we need to know about the new premium mid-range smartphones. Ahead of their official unveiling, we now have their prices too. At least for the European market.
This isn’t the first time the alleged prices of the Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G have emerged. Last week, a couple of tipsters revealed how much the phones could cost in Europe and India. They claimed a pretty steep hike from last year — €70 for the former and €50 for the latter. We were told that the Galaxy A54 5G will start at €519 and the Galaxy A34 5G at €419. That’s for the base variant with 128GB of internal storage.
Reputed tipster Roland Quant has now countered that claim saying that Samsung will charge €499 for the former and €399 for the latter. That’s €20 less than the previously reported prices for both models. If true, we are in for a slightly smaller hike — €50 for the Galaxy A54 5G and €30 for the Galaxy A34 5G — which is more reasonable. At launch, the 128GB Galaxy A53 5G cost €449 in Europe, while the Galaxy A33 5G started at €369.
The latest leak also reveals the prices of the higher storage variants (256GB). If you want a maxed-out Galaxy A54 5G, you’ll have to give Samsung €549. Likewise, the maxed-out Galaxy A33 5G will cost you €479. Note that both storage variants of the former phone will come with 8GB of RAM. The latter, meanwhile, ships with 6GB of RAM if you pick the 128GB model. Last year, Galaxy A53 5G also came with 6GB of RAM on the base model.
Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G will go official in a few days
After months of leaks and rumors, Samsung today confirmed that it will launch its 2023 premium mid-range smartphones on Thursday, March 16. With the company canceling the Galaxy A74 5G, these are the two most expensive Galaxy A models this year. The Galaxy A54 5G is powered by Exynos 1380 processor while the Galaxy A34 5G uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 1080. Samsung is equipping the phones with a Ful HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The former gets a 50MP camera while the latter settles for a 48MP unit. Both handsets are IP67 rated and come with an under-display fingerprint scanner. Stay Tuned for the launch later this week.
