Galaxy Z Fold 6 to bring "major form factor change"

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to bring a “major form factor change”, it seems. This information comes from Revegnus, a tipster who shared this information via Twitter.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 to bring “major form factor change”, unlike the Galaxy Z Fold 5

He said this while retweeting Ice Universe’s post which said that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is “the generation with the smallest change in Samsung Folds”. Revegnus even went as far as to recommend people to wait for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, though if you like the current form factor, there’s no reason to listen to this advice, of course.

Now, considering that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to fold flat, and feature a less pronounced crease, well, it won’t exactly be the smallest change. Presuming those changes are coming, of course.

In any case, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to launch in July or August, depending on which rumor you choose to believe. Samsung is still not sure when to host the event, or where, for that matter.

Samsung could host its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in South Korea

It seems like Samsung is considering Busan (South Korea) and New York (the US) at the moment. It will host its global Galaxy Unpacked in one of those two cities in a couple of months.

Now, in addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will also launch. The same goes for the Galaxy Watch 6, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series of tablets.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy SoC. It will resemble its predecessor quite a bit, save for the fact it will fold flat, of course. It will also have a slightly different backplate due to the camera implementation.
