iPhone 15 Pro may not get a periscope camera, unfortunately

According to a new report, the iPhone 15 Pro won’t feature a periscope camera. This information comes from Ice Universe, a well-known tipster.

The iPhone 15 Pro may not get a periscope camera like its sibling

The tipster shared this information via Twitter, while adding that the iPhone 15 Pro’s camera bump will be thicker. Many of you are probably wondering does this mean that the iPhone 15 Pro Max won’t get a periscope camera either. Well, it seems like it will.

Apple may create a rather noticeable gap in the camera prowess of these two phones. A recent report suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will also get a new main camera sensor. The iPhone 15 Pro was not mentioned in that report, so it may stick to the same main camera as the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.

None of this information is confirmed at this point. If the rumors are to be believed, though, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will not only have a better main camera than its sibling, but a periscope camera too, while the iPhone 15 Pro will stick to the same old 3x telephoto camera unit.

Things will become a lot more clear as we’re getting closer to the launch month (September). We’re just hoping for some more clarity on these rumors, as things are not looking great for the regular iPhone 15 Pro at the moment.

You may be forced to get the largest iPhone in order to get the best camera experience

If all of this ends up happening, Apple will basically force its users to get a huge smartphone if they want the very best camera the company has to offer. That was never the case when it comes to Apple, so all of these rumors are rather odd.

You could always get the Pro or the Pro Max and get the exact same camera experience. The only differences between these models were the display size and battery capacity.

This change doesn’t make all that much sense. Apple could, however, rebrand the iPhone 15 Pro Max to ‘Ultra’, in order to warrant such differences. We’ve seen conflicting rumors regarding all this, so… we’ll have to wait and see what will end up happening.
