'Pixel Search' is the ultimate search app, and it's brand new

The ‘Pixel Search’ app is now available via the Google Play Store, and it’s immensely useful. This application comes from Rushikesh Kamewar, a well-known developer. He’s the developer behind AppBar, Shortcut Maker, Privacy Dashboard, Pinned Shortcuts, and a number of other apps.

The Pixel Search app is the ultimate search app for your Android smartphone

He was talking about this app for quite some time on Twitter, and the app is finally available. I installed it, and played around with it a bit… it’s great, actually. This is not your regular one file type search app, not at all.

With this, you can search through your phone’s contacts, files, shortcuts, apps, and even get web search suggestions. All that in a single place, which is, needless to say, extremely convenient.

The developer even included some neat shortcuts when you fire up the app. You’ll see the ‘Search on Google’, ‘Search on YouTube’, ‘Search on Maps’, and a number of other shortcuts here. You can quality jump in any of those apps to do a quick search.

The UI in this app is really clean, which is great, as it makes you actually want to use it. If you’ve been looking for something like this, something that will allow you to easily search basically anything from a single spot… well, you should give this app a go.

The app is free, and it won’t throw ads in your face

It has been working fine for me in the short time I’ve used it, no issues whatsoever. The best of all, the app is free, and there are no ads included at all. You can even manage app shortcuts, if you want, it’s not a problem. You can do that via the Shortcut Maker, another app from the same developer.

Pixel Search also comes with support for both light and dark themes, while icon pack theming is supported too. On top of everything, a nice-looking Material You widget is available too.

If you’re interested in giving the app a go, the download link is included below. You’ll also find some official screenshots down there, in case you’d like to check them out.
