Elden Ring has sold 20.5 million copies worldwide since launch

Bandai Namco says Elden Ring sales have reached a total of 20.5 million copies worldwide. That’s the total number of copies sold in all regions since the game launched back in February of 2022.

A pretty substantial number for a little over a year of the game being available. Thanks in no small part to the success of other somewhat recent FromSoftware games. Of course Elden Ring’s popularity before release certainly helped the game do well in its opening weeks and months.

And surely there will be more people picking it up when the eventual DLC finally launches. That being said, Bandai Namco does confirm that it believes sales of the game will finally slow down. Details from a recent Bandai Namco investor call made their way to the forum ResetEra (via Eurogamer) where the publisher notes that it expects Elden Ring game sales to pull back in the new fiscal year.

Elden Ring sales will wind down as Armored Core VI sales begin

With Elden Ring on the slow down track, Bandai Namco will be looking forward to what it has on next on deck. And that will come in the form of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, which launches in August. Bandai Namco also has a new Naruto game in the works. Though it seems unlikely that would surpass whatever sales numbers Armored Core VI pumps out.

All of that aside, now is just as good of a time as any to check out Elden Ring if you haven’t already done so. It’s not currently on sale anywhere for digital copies but you can find the physical copy for consoles lower than the standard $59.99.

And if you play on PC you could just wait for the Steam Summer Sale. Which is coming up fast and have a good chance at dropping the price of the game.
