The Nothing Phone (2) has passed another checkpoint on the way to launch. This time around, the phone got certified by NBTC. This comes three months after the device appeared on the BIS certification website.
The Nothing Phone (2) passed another checkpoint on the way to July 11
The phone is listed as ‘A065’ on NBTC, which is the same model number MySmartPrice mentioned back in February. The ‘Phone (2)’ moniker is also confirmed by NBTC, even though Nothing itself confirmed it earlier.
Do note that this certification does not share any additional specs, though. Luckily, at this point, we do know what to expect out of the Nothing Phone (2).
The Nothing Phone (2) will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It will feature a 6.7-inch display. That will likely be a fullHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The device will boast 12GB of RAM and likely be offered in both 128GB and 256GB storage options. Android 13 will come pre-installed on the phone, along with Nothing OS 2.0. That software will be considerably different than v1.0, it seems.
It will support both wired and wireless charging, and feature a Glyph interface on the back
A 4,700mAh battery is also expected, while fast charging will be supported. We do expect 33W wired charging to be supported, but we’re still not sure. Wireless charging is also expected, as the first-gen model offered it.
A 50-megapixel main camera will likely be included, and backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. You’ll also get an in-display fingerprint scanner here, likely an optical one. Stereo speakers will also be included.
Nothing will also bring back its Glyph interface on the back. In other words, you’ll get a bunch of LED light back there, while a see-through back will be included too. The phone will become official on July 11, in case you’re wondering.
